Biography Jorge Frasca
Birth and Training
Jorge Frasca was born in 1945 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He defines himself as self-taught: “a diligent student of himself.”
He painted from a young age: he himself recounts that “from the age of 5 I was already painting with my father’s materials.”
Artistic Career
Frasca specializes in landscapes, particularly the Argentine countryside: general stores, taverns, towns forgotten by time, the Buenos Aires plains, the Pampas.
His style is characterized by the treatment of light and air, the atmosphere, rather than by an exact photographic reproduction: he himself says that he paints “the countryside, the human constructions that cut across the horizon.”
He has also traveled to paint: for example, series on North Africa (Morocco, Mali) and on the white villages of southern Spain and northern Italy. His work has entered private and public collections in Argentina and abroad (Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Australia, United States).
Since 1980, he has held solo and group exhibitions in Argentina and other countries.
Style and Themes
His painting is figurative in form, impressionistic in its treatment of light: this is how he defines it.

The landscapes he paints have a timeless quality: although they depict specific scenes, the intention is more poetic than documentary.
He says he is not interested in having his work participate in awards or competitions.

These are just some of his most visible exhibitions. There are likely many more, both solo and group exhibitions.
Relevance of his work and to collecting
His dedication to the Argentine rural landscape makes him a contemporary reference point on this subject.
The technical quality of his painting, his mastery of light and atmosphere, make his work valued both aesthetically and commercially. For a company specializing in works of art and antiques, like yours in Andorra, including Frasca could offer: a perfectly clear authorship, a market in private collections, and a style that resonates well with landscape and traditional themes.
As a practical tip: verify the authenticity, condition, provenance of the work (collection, gallery), and whether the piece is documented in your catalog or official website.
Considerations and limitations
I couldn't find a complete and exhaustive list of all his solo and group exhibitions: the available data is fragmentary. For specific years, full exhibition titles, and catalogs, you might need to consult his archive, the gallery that represents him, or the artist himself.
